Biography

Edward Taylor came to the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research (BCBER) in 2021 after a diverse career in structural engineering, bridge construction, and occupational health and safety research. He has graduate training in business, economics, and data analytics. As a BCBER research associate, he utilizes this background to conduct and to assist in applied research on a broad set of projects. To date he has participated in projects affecting the welfare of Tennessee citizens. For example, one study examined the economic impacts of the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System and another assessed Tennessee’s advanced manufacturing capabilities. He is also part of the team that provides an annual TVA Regional Economic Forecast for the multi-state TVA region.
